The Ashburton Winter
Up in the far east of New Zealand lies a town named Ashburton. Snow all around, coming up to the little people’s knees. As I’m up here, creating the snow for ‘em. Watching ‘em dance, and building snowmen with the fam. Having the time of their life while having snow fights. With smiles all around, the kids hearts pumping, with their gloves soggy and wet, with snow dripping from their big puffa jackets. And nose dripping with ice and snow, as more snow balls fly at their face, while they laugh and laugh, with hearts pumping more and more, none stop. I love watching ‘em have so much fun. But then it gets sad, when the snow melts, and the kids go inside. Putting the skies away, as my time is up. The snow melting, so everyone can see the other half of their house, while I look into the distance, as the cloud shows the sun, and melts me away, leaving no snow behind. Then I disappear for the next session to come and show it's form to the world, for the kids to laugh and have fun with summer, spring, and autom. I may be gone, but at least I know the kids are still having fun

  1. In your prose I can see a image in my mind. I can see all the kids running inside as the sun melts away all the snow and leaving no snow behind. For Example, "snow melts, and kids go inside. Putting the skies away as my time is up". And as the shows the sun, and melts me away leaving no snow.
